Maria's is an oyster and wine bar in the Warehouse District, and our list is Global Coastal — wines from coastal regions around the world, chosen to pair perfectly with Gulf seafood. Pour a glass, order a dozen, and settle in.

That's the idea in a phrase: the world's coastlines drink well with oysters, so our list travels them — the same waters that grow great shellfish grow the wines that love it. It's what makes Maria's different from a straight-ahead wine bar: every bottle is here to meet the Gulf on the plate.

By the glass, made for oysters

We pour across the coastal styles that love shellfish — sparkling, rosé, white, and orange — so there's a glass for every oyster on the board. Guests single out the list as "impressive and diverse," with a real bench of excellent American wines.

If you're in a cocktail mood, the bar has a playful lineup — the Shore Leave (a Painkiller with dark rum, coconut & Louisiana Satsuma), the mezcal Smoke Show margarita, Down the Bayou (a crab-boil-spiced hurricane), and a frozen Bushwacker.

Wine at happy hour

Every day 4–6pm: $8 wine by the glass and $20 wine flights, alongside $1.50 Gulf oysters. The easiest oysters-and-wine hour in the neighborhood.
